Aaj

ik haseeN mujhpe meharbaaN hain aaj,
hosh kaa khwab kaa samaaN hai aaj,

dil badi muddattoN mein dhadka hai,
phir ragoN mein lahoo rawaN hai aaj,

laut aaya hai jaise jaake shabab,
phir har ik aarzoo jawaN hai aaj,

zauq-e-sajdaa ne li hai aNgdaaee,
sar ko phir fikra-e-aastaaN hai aaj,

naaz mein hai nayaz kaa aalam,
husn par ishq kaa gumaaN hai aaj,

mil chuki thi jin uljhanoN se nijaat,
unhi unljhanoN mein jaaN hai aaj,

ye samaaN kal badal naa jaaye ‘khumar’
khwahish-e-marg-e-naagahaN hai aaj!!!
